From its elevated vantage point on a peninsula that rises out of miombo woodland, Chada Katavi is perfectly positioned for panoramic views over the Chada plain.
Katavi belongs to the animals. You are their guest. Chada’s humble nod of recognition to its host is evident in the accommodation consisting of spacious safari tents, a blend of brown canvas, leather and brass, camouflaged against a thicket of tall trees. The canopy of acacias, kigelias and tamarinds are a popular source of shade and food for abundant bird and animal life, creating fantastic game viewing opportunities without even leaving the campsite.
The accommodation consists of 6 wide and spacious safari tents with large shade net windows to allow for lots of light and cool breezes. The tents are furnished with fine wooden furniture, woven rugs and beds made up with crisp white Egyptian cotton. The tents are large, romantic and airy and the bathrooms are bush-deluxe! Private bathrooms are set directly behind each tent and can be connected to the main tent quickly and easily if required.
Chada Camp only accommodates up to 12 people. This ensures its exclusivity, privacy and the feeling of remoteness that gives this camp its character.
Chada Katavi is situated in the remote heart of Katavi National Park.
