Cradled in the boughs of an ancient mahogany forest, the lodge blends into the natural beauty of its breathtaking surroundings. Lake Manyara Tree Lodge is the only lodge in Lake Manyara National Park.
This remote lodge blends intimacy and romance in cool, leafy surrounds. Spacious bedrooms float in a sea of green, with generous decks and massive windows opening up to lush forest. The bathroom is bright and spacious with French doors leading out on to the veranda. Each has ‘his and hers’ white porcelain sinks set atop a dark wooden surface. However, the most noticeable feature is the large free- standing bath in the centre of the room. Relax as you take a soak in this opulent bath tub while you contemplate the forest outside.
The lodge pool beckons like a cool oasis in an ocean of shady green. Generous decks suspended above the forest floor open up to a wooded embrace. Split level living and dining rooms combine with high thatched ceilings to create a sense of space, while warm wood interiors and an understated sofa carve out cozy corners. Tantalizing aromas drift from the open, interactive kitchen, luring guests to watch as simple but delicious meals are prepared. The theatre of the open kitchen is translated into the drama of the dining boma, encircled by a tall fence of gnarled wood.
Located on the southern border of the Lake Manyara National Park, Lake Manyara Tree Lodge is just 48 kilometres south of the park gate.
