Mbuzi Mawe Tented Camp
- 16 tents
- En-suite bathroom
- Dining tent
- Gift shop
Scenically located in a glade, known as the ‘place of the klipspringer’(mbuzi mawe) and guarded by 3 million year old granite towers this luxury tented camp is unique. Cleverly located on one of the main annual migration corridors for over one million wildebeest, half a million zebra and gazelle and their accompanying cast of predators.
The accommodation is simple and being under traditional canvas gives a distinct feeling of remoteness. Long, stone ramps lead up to each of the tents which are all well spaced apart in a woodland glade. With only 16 tents this camp offers an intimate environment and manages to maintain an authentic safari ambience without sacrificing anything in terms of amenities.
Each spacious tent is furnished with 2 queen size four-poster beds, sitting area, writing desk, en-suite bathroom and a lovely private veranda with a sun bed. The main lodge is equally charmimg and consists of a cozy tented lounge and bar, outdoor patio, both indoor and outdoor dining rooms, gift shop and a fire pit. The sleeping tents are nestled around the base of the beautiful Kimasi kopjes while the main lodge tent is set further up on a hill allowing for spectacular views of the landscape.
Mbuzi Mawe is located in the western Serengeti.
