Sunset Mountain Lodge
- 11 self contained chalets
- En-suite bathroom
- Mini bar
Sunset Mountain Lodge consists of 11 chalets. The views from the chalets are quite incredible, overlooking a breathtaking landscape and making the sunset views quite stunning. Early in the morning wild dogs and lions frequent the area near the lodge, as do elephants, giraffe and impala.
All the lodge buildings are styled after traditional African village buildings and have their own particular ambience. Great care has been taken to ensure peace and tranquility for the guests.
Being outside the park, the lodge can also offer other unique visitor attractions such as a trip to the local Makonde carving centre, snake park or a community visit. Walks may also be conducted in and around the campgrounds. Evening entertainment may include Maasai songs and dance in front of an open fire before being escorted to your room by one of the Maasai themselves.
The lodge is set on a beautiful landscaped garden atop of Idelmele mountain, 16 kilometres away from the Ruaha National Park boundaries.
