The Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha to Lake Manyara

Meals: Dinner

Welcome to Tanzania!

On arrival you will be greeted on arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport where your Tanzania Safari begins.

After a short introduction to your fellow travellers and safari guide we will set off to Lake Manyara, your accommodation for the evening.

Day 2: Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Today is the day! Your first day on safari. Enter Lake Manyara National Park, home of the tree climbing lions, the largest troop of baboons in Tanzania and the Flamingoes who call the lake their home.

Enjoy a morning of game viewing, returning to your lodge in time for lunch.

In the afternoon drive to your next lodge in the Great Serengeti National Park.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Spend a full day today exploring the Serengeti National Park. Game driving is always best in the early morning and late afternoon as its cooler so animals are always more active so we will aim to depart by 0730am. Spend the morning game viewing, returning to the lodge for lunch.

The afternoon will be spent game viewing in the Serengeti National Park.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Today we will continue to explore the plains of the Serengeti. After lunch our time in the Serengeti National Park is over and we will commence our en-route game drive through to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to our next lodge situated on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. We will stop en-route to visit a traditional Maasai Boma, where a chief will guide us through his village and teach us about the fascinating tribes that call the Conservation Area their home.

Make sure you go to bed nice and early tonight as you have an early start tomorrow morning.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Rise before dawn for an early breakfast as today we will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater just after first light. This is your best chance to witness the BIG 5, including the rare Black Rhino all in one day. The Ngorongoro Crater never fails to disappoint safari guests. We will enjoy a picnic lunch in the Ngorongoro Crater, returning to the lodge in the early afternoon.

Day 6: Tarangire National Park

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Today we will drive to Tarangire National Park for a day of game viewing. Tarangire is a lesser know park in Tanzania and sometimes overshadowed by the Serengeti National Park, though many do not know that Tarangire is home to the largest remaining herds of Elephants in Tanzania, not to mention the largest number of Ancient Baobab Trees. The land of the Giants!

Enjoy a full day at the Park.

Day 7: Tarangire National Park to Kilimanjaro International Airport

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Today we depart Tarangire National Park and drive back to Arusha Coffee lodge for a farewell lunch together before reaching our final destination, Kilimanjaro Airport to meet your connecting flight home.
